Little Monkey Susanna Little Monkey Do you think you can draw my Little Monkey? I used pattern blocks to make my monkey. The pattern blocks I used were 2 hexagons, 8 rhombuses, 6 rhombus bs, 8 triangles, 5 trapezoids, and 1 square. All of the rhombus bs are going to be yellow, the rhombuses are going to be purple, the hexagons are going to be pink, the trapezoids are going to be light green, the triangles are going to be orange, and the square is going to be light blue. Start out with the 2 pink hexagons use them as eyes. Two of their points should be touching. On top of each hexagon put a light green trapezoid. In between the trapezoids put an orange triangle. Underneath that put an upside-down triangle so that the point on it touches the hexagon's points. By the side of each trapezoid put a rhombus. They should look like diamonds. At the bottom right hand slant of the rhombuses put a yellow rhombus b. The rhombus bs should be slanting so that the points stick out. At the slant of each rhombus b put another yellow one. You have just created his ears. By the points of each hexagon put a right side up triangle. Underneath that put an upside-down triangle. At each slant of that triangle put a right side up triangle. At each slant of the right side up triangles put an upside down triangle. The triangles you have just made should look like a pattern. On the straight edge of the pattern put a light green trapezoid. On the straight edge of the trapezoid put a light blue square. On each slant of the trapezoid put a trapezoid that has one of its slants up against the trapezoid. Then, on the short straight edge of the trapezoid put a rhombus b. The rhombus bs should have two of their slants that go on straight edges. On the bottom half of each trapezoid put a purple rhombus. They should look like diamonds. On top of that put another rhombus on each top half of the trapezoids. On each bottom half rhombus put a regular rhombus. You have just made a portrait of my little monkey!
